El Bacanal: Ancient Gods, Food and Wine
Located in the capital city of Pinar del Río Province, Restaurante Bacanal is part of a socio-cultural project that includes the Park of Sculptures in which it’s located. Its meals, prepared on the base of red wine and mushrooms, venerate the mythological gods of wine from the Greek and Roman worlds.
Specializing in traditional Cuban food, the Bacanal also offers exquisite dishes from international cuisine. The house specialty – “Charcoal-Grilled Pork Chops” – is served in a unique way. With meals prepared to order, the high quality of the dishes is guaranteed.
Founded in 2011, the restaurant offers one of the best services in the city. Attention from the staff is very good, the prices are excellent and the portions are huge.
It is a tranquil and intimate restaurant, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Owing to the perfect blend of Roman-style columns and arches with more modern trends in construction, it is an attractive place that is ideal for taking photos.
On the grounds there is also an art gallery, an amphitheater, spaces for community workshops where one can talk with artisans while they work, trails for riding bicycles and ponies, and much more.
