A Piece of the Ocean Right in Havana
The Cuban National Aquarium is located on 3rd Street and 62, in Miramar. It offers to the pubic a wide spectrum of possibilities to enjoy a day in touch with the marine nature. The organization of the Aquarium helps the visitants to do their walk and don’t miss anything related to the tour.
The activities and animal exhibitions are divided in three big areas: outdoors spaces; marine landscapes, fish and invertebrates; and marine mammals. In the outdoor spaces you can find different areas such as the Tropical Island, where you can see over 30 kinds of marine turtles; or The Mangrove Road, conceived for the visitants who wants to experiment a walk through a mangrove forest; among others. The marine landscapes's area is a selection of six fishbowls of typical Cuban subaquatic scenarios.
The fish and invertebrates exhibition is the wider, it has 24 fish-bowls with young species in their natural habitat. Once you are in the area of marine mammals you can see various kinds of dolphins, see wolfs and seals, and you can also enjoy a spectacular subaquatic show with the dolphins.
The Aquarium offers different places to eat with the family, from specialized restaurants to small coffee shops for snacks. You can visit the Cuban National Aquarium from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
