The “bodeguita” we are inviting you now, is not the one in Havana, famous because of its mojitos, but another one, one that, with its delicious food and cocktails, will make everybody’s palates delight, even the most exigent ones.
Villa Clara’s La Bodeguita del Medio, in Marta Abreu St. between Juan Bruno Zayas and Alemán, offers lunch and dinner service every day, from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
Here you will feel like if you were sitting in a Spanish tavern: waitresses wearing Iberian typical costumes, rustic walls and floors, as well as wooden tables and chairs, looking exactly like those in Spain’s old days.
If you take a look at the menu, you will find Cuban traditional dishes, as well as international ones. The chef recommends the barbecued pork’s skewers, but also all meats, which come in a bull-shape dish.
This place, located in front of Santa Clara’s cathedral, invites you to avoid, maybe for a moment, all diets, and to fall in the arms of those pleasures La Bodeguita del Medio, in the very centre of Cuba, bring us.
