The majestic building that formerly housed the Asturian Societies of Cuba, is now final seat for the National Museum of Fine Arts' universal art collection. In its rooms you will appreciate a representative sample of art produced by ancient civilizations, such as the Egyptian, Greek and Roman; a wide range of European paintings, very representative in their chronological, thematic and stylistic system, which include Italian and Flemish Renaissance, Spanish Baroque, eighteenth-century French and British painting, and nineteenth-century painting in general.
You can also find pieces from the Latin American colonial age and also from the United States' eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, as well as some significant XX- century paintings and, last but not least, an interesting collection of Asian art. Undoubtedly, this is a luxury place for art lovers from all times and latitudes.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00.
