Casa de la Miel: A Drink in the Kingdom of Bees
In the small village called La estrella, on the way to Villa Clara’s keys, honey has its home. You will immediately recognize the place since, like a honeycomb, it is decorated with those geometric shapes that make up that “box” that safeguards the prized extract.
Casa de la Miel (Honey House) provides you with the chance of sweetening your palate with that viscid nectar that bees elaborate with so much dedication and patience. Honey is a natural sweetener which contains numerous nutrients and vitamins. It is highly beneficial for the human body and good health, since it is a great source of energy.
Here cocktails, besides captivating with their distinctive flavor and appearance, are added honey when prepared in order to achieve a quite less artificial drink. Mojitos, piñas coladas or daiquiris in this place, along with other light gastronomy offers, make sugar seem unnecessary.
This sweet bend amidst so much sun and beach is open daily from 10:00 am till 4:30 pm and becomes an excellent opportunity to get your strength back as you walk around this small village which holds even more surprises for you.
