Vintage Bazar: And There Was Light!
Vintage Bazar has existed for almost a year now. Design, inventiveness, quality, and of course, vintage elements converge on this place. The purpose of this shop is to offer luminaires with exclusive designs and recycled materials. It is a small space on the centric 23rd Avenue, full of light, where you will be able to purchase the proposals by Gretel Serrano (the project’s manager and main creator of the pieces) and other collaborators, proposals which undoubtedly champion vintage aesthetics and good taste.
At Vintage Bazar they have set themselves the goal to use materials and objects that have been “thrown away” by others in order to give them utilitarian value and to make small works of art. Within the range of leitmotifs there are clockworks, flagons, grinders, hats, tree trunks, old pipes, as well as glass, cardboard, and marble pieces, among others. Using this variety of raw material not only enriches the artisanal and exclusive aspects but also challenges imagination and good designing.
Vintage Bazar offers diverse typologies: suspended lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, pendant lamps, wall lights… The designs go from naïf aesthetics, ideal for nurseries, such as navigation lights from vessels, to others that greatly remind us of art nouveau. This small shop is a suitable place for those who wish to surprise someone with a gift, for those who enjoy and appreciate good designs.
