Havana keeps surprising us and new businesses keep appearing which accentuate the heterogeneous nature that has always characterized this city. Alma (Soul) is born, a new design shop for gifts, a strategy to escape from stereotyped souvenirs.
Alma is a small business led by Alexandra, a young visionary with a great sense of good taste and true art who has learnt how to select artisans and artists from all of Cuba so they can show and sell their art. Alma chose as stage a beautiful house in Havana’s Miramar due to its terrace, which is brightened with a beautiful natural light coming through large windows. And it is nothing more than a shop where we can find from ready-to-wear clothing for adults and children, jewelry made from different materials (silver, antique pieces taken out of clocks, coconuts, thread, etc.) to small wooden figurines with images of Cuban seals.
But Alma is not only a shop with an attractive proposal but also a place with ecological and humanitarian awareness, since in the first place it champions products made from recycling and it is also activist against cruelty to animals.
There are then several reasons for visiting and becoming a regular customer of this shop.
