The narrow street Lorda, located next to the theatre La Caridad, in Santa Clara’s very centre, houses a small fair which exhibits items and souvenirs made by local artisans.
If you go, then you’ll have the possibility of taking with you, as a memory of Cuba, summer leather sandals, wooden figures looking like musicians or the wonderful mulatas, jewels made of pips, paintings, straw hats to cover yourself from the sun, as well as other craft pieces with an undeniable Cuban touch.
Carps open every day, from 9:30 to 4:00. This is an ideal opportunity to acquire souvenirs, which, after a delicate hand-work, evidence the crafts' tradition of this island.
