The Museo del Chocolate is a small place in Old Havana, very near from Plaza San Francisco de Asís, a little and modest paradise for those who love chocolate in all its forms and sizes. As it is a museum, you can find items related to the history and importance of this amazing and delicious product. One interesting fact about this place: they make all the chocolate there. Is not imported nor exported. Everything you eat, drink or buy comes straight from cacao grains.
You can enjoy your chocolate, however you want it (in bars, cakes, milkshakes) outside, by sitting at tables on the street, while watching Old Havana’s routine; or inside, in a comfortable air-conditioned ambiance, perfect to have a nice chat. If you are hurried and don’t have enough time to seat by, there’s a shop where you can buy different kinds of chocolate products, and not too expensive at all.
For me there’s nothing like a cold chocolate milkshake. If you think like me, now you know about another palace where to have a happy moment.
